Backend Developer

The Backend Developer is the engineer responsible for the server-side logic, database structures, and application programming interfaces (APIs) that power modern web applications. You are the "behind-the-scenes" expert who ensures that data flows securely and efficiently between the server and the user’s screen. This role requires a logic-driven mindset and a passion for building scalable systems that can handle thousands of simultaneous users.
Job Description
You will design, build, and maintain the server-side logic using robust programming languages and frameworks to ensure application stability. Your daily tasks involve creating and managing complex database schemas that support business requirements and data persistence. You are responsible for developing high-performance APIs that allow the frontend to interact with the server and third-party services. Performance tuning and optimization of the server-side code are critical to ensuring that the application remains responsive under heavy load.
Requirements
Proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP is a fundamental requirement for this role. You must have extensive experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, as well as NoSQL solutions like MongoDB. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is highly preferred for modern remote roles. You should be familiar with server-side CSS preprocessors and have a strong understanding of accessibility and security compliance. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a track record of building scalable backends, is expected.
